With a Ph. D. in Environmental Science, Dr. Yves M. Tourre has been training, educating, designing curricula and programs at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels in the field of Climate and Meteorology and its multi-sector applications (including Public Health), in the United States, France and Africa. He has directed and conducted scientific research at universities, schools and institutes nationally and internationally and published more than 140 peer-reviewed scientific papers. Under the aegis of the United Nations [WMO, UNESCO/IOC, ICSU and UNEP], he has been heavily involved in the development of Operational Oceanography and Global Observing Networks for research, monitoring and applications purposes. Dr. Tourre has a proven ability to interact effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments, in both English and French.
